Why did you decide to open your own business?

The idea for 19 Wilson Patten grew from recognising a clear local need for genuinely well‑run, professional spaces.

Many practitioners and small organisations require a reliable, high-quality place to meet clients, run training or work from, without the cost or commitment of a long‑term lease.

We saw that therapists, clinicians, and other professionals were often working from unsuitable premises or struggling to find calm, well‑managed environments that reflected the quality of their work.

19 Wilson Patten was created to offer something better: a space that feels professional, welcoming, and supportive, helping people do their best work while presenting a positive, credible image to their clients.

The venue also complements the existing services of our sister organisation, providing psychological services – Changing Minds Performance Services (www.changingmindsuk.com) and Changing Minds Child & Family Services(www.cmcafs.com), who also share and use the space

What’s your business background?

My background spans education, professional services, leadership, and service development, and this combination has had a strong influence on how the business operates.

It has shaped an approach built on ethics, robust governance, and a consistently high‑quality client experience, with well‑designed systems that prioritise professionalism, consistency, and quality over volume.

Why this type of business?

We work alongside our sister organisations – Changing Minds Performance Services (www.changingmindsuk.com) and Changing Minds Child & Family Services (www.cmcafs.com), offering a venue that complements and supports the specialist services they deliver, while also providing a versatile space for a much wider range of professionals.

A well‑designed environment is essential for any kind of professional work.

Whether the focus is therapy, consultations, office‑based work, training, or small‑group meetings, factors such as privacy, comfort, accessibility, and consistency make a significant difference.

By providing high‑quality, well‑managed rooms, we allow practitioners, businesses, and independent professionals to concentrate fully on their clients and their work instead of worrying about practicalities such as room standards, technology, booking systems, or administration.

Flexible working is now the norm for many people, and businesses, freelancers, and organisations increasingly need professional, reliable space without the constraints of a long‑term lease.

Our model supports this modern way of working – offering flexible, well‑presented rooms for meetings, training, office use, and specialist services – while contributing positively to the local professional and business community.

What makes your business different from others in the same area/field? What sets your business apart from your competitors?

What sets 19 Wilson Patten apart is the combination of purpose‑designed spaces, strong governance, and a genuinely customer‑focused approach.

Our rooms are carefully created for a wide range of professional uses, from therapy and consultations to meetings, training sessions, and office‑based work.

Each space is thoughtfully furnished, professionally presented, and supported by transparent booking systems, clear terms, and consistently high standards.

We aim to offer the feel of a private office or high‑quality venue rather than a generic room‑hire facility.

Our venue is truly unique, with a variety of beautifully finished rooms designed to suit different purposes.

Larger feature spaces, including the Delamere and Grand suites, provide an impressive setting for group events, training, workshops, and bigger meetings.

In addition, we offer comfortable, private therapy rooms and well‑equipped office spaces ideal for focused individual work or day‑to‑day professional tasks.

We frequently receive excellent feedback across all room types.

Therapy rooms are often described as warm, homely and welcoming, ideal for putting clients at ease, while our office and meeting spaces are valued for their comfort, professionalism and attention to detail.

This consistent standard runs throughout the building, ensuring a high‑quality experience for everyone who uses the venue.

Exceptional customer service is central to how we operate.

From the moment someone makes an enquiry, we focus on building positive relationships and ensuring every visitor feels welcomed, supported, and well looked after.

We always encourage people to come and view the building in person.

Almost everyone who visits is surprised by the scale of the space and the quality of the finish, with each room created to offer a calm, professional, and inviting atmosphere.

Our vision is simple: to provide the best therapy, meeting, training, and office spaces in the North West, supported by world‑class service.

Why do loyal customers return to your business?

We are proud to have a growing number of loyal customers who choose to return to us time and time again.

Their continued trust reflects the warm, calm, and safe atmosphere our spaces provide, an environment where both professionals and their clients can feel completely at ease.

Clients return because they know the experience will be reliable and professionally managed. The rooms are consistently well-maintained, the booking process is straightforward, and the building offers a welcoming setting that reflects positively on their work.

Many practitioners value the calm atmosphere, central location, strong transport links, and our responsive, supportive management approach.

This combination of a high‑quality environment, consistent standards, flexibility, and competitive pricing has led to steady growth in both regular and contracted bookings.

Customers appreciate knowing that whenever they walk through the door, the space will be ready, professional, and aligned with the standard they want to offer their clients or delegates.

What’s next? What do the next few months hold for you and your business?

Over the next few months, our focus is on continued growth and the development of our services.

Key priorities include increasing occupancy across all rooms, refining our systems, and enhancing the overall customer experience.

We will also be strengthening our marketing and online presence to raise awareness of the venue among local businesses, clinicians, trainers, and organisations.

A central part of this work is building deeper, long‑term relationships with the professionals who use our spaces, while also welcoming new customers from a wide range of sectors.

We plan to expand our visibility through community engagement and targeted promotion, helping more people discover the quality and variety of the rooms we offer.

Customer feedback will continue to guide improvements, whether that means enhancing facilities, streamlining the booking process, or exploring new ways to support the day‑to‑day work of our users.

In the longer term, our goal is to build on the strong foundations already in place and firmly establish 19 Wilson Patten as a leading venue for professional meetings, training, therapy, and office‑based work across Warrington and the wider region.

Above all, we remain committed to providing a warm, welcoming, and reliable environment that people feel confident returning to time and time again.
