Wellington mall adds marketing manager to team

Julie Schalm

The Mall at Wellington Green recently announced the addition of Julie Schalm to its leadership team. Schalm will serve as marketing manager for the complex. She was most recently director of marketing at AP Restaurant Group, where she successfully managed multiple brands, drove revenue increases and elevated the group’s visibility. The Mall at Wellington Green is a 1.2 million-square-foot, two-level regional shopping destination, and it features over 160 stores.

Darcy Hall names executive director for nursing/rehabilitative care home

Kendra Stephens

Darcy Hall of Life Care, a local skilled nursing and rehab center, recently welcomed Kendra Stephens as its new executive director. Stephens has a master’s degree in business administration and worked as an accountant prior to becoming an administrator. Located on Palm Beach Lakes Blvd., Darcy Hall of Life Care is one of 21 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Florida managed by Life Care Centers of America.

Greenberg Traurig attorney to co-chair civil practice committee

Robert “Bobby” Kane III

Greenberg Traurig, P.A. litigation shareholder Robert “Bobby” Kane III has been appointed to serve as co-chair of the Palm Beach County Bar Association civil practice committee. Kane was appointed to serve a one-year term beginning in the summer and ending June 30, 2025. Greenberg Traurig, LLP has more than 2,750 attorneys in 47 locations in the United States, Europe and the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia.

Palm Beach real estate lender promotes associate

Evan Blair

Forman Capital, a private direct real estate lender based in Palm Beach County, has promoted Evan Blair from associate to associate vice president for asset management. Blair will be responsible for actively managing commercial real estate loans originated by Forman Capital and handling cash flow projections for its portfolio. Palm Beach-based Forman Capital is a provider of private commercial real estate debt and equity financing for transactions ranging from $5 million to $100 million. 

West Palm Beach resident launches art vending machine concept

Serial entrepreneur and West Palm Beach resident, Meghan McKenna, has officially launched her latest venture, Flamango Vending. This concept transforms the ordinary snack vending machine into an accessible platform for affordable, local artwork, giving Palm Beach County residents and visitors a chance to discover and purchase unique art at the touch of a button. Selections of art and prices ranging from $6 to $50.

Boca Raton Museum of Art names next executive director

Ena Heller

The board of trustees of the Boca Raton Museum of Art recently announced the appointment of Ena Heller as the Museum’s next executive director. Heller holds a Ph.D. in art history from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, and is a graduate of the Getty Museum Leadership Institute. She will start Feb. 3. Founded by artists in 1950 as the Art Guild of Boca Raton, the Boca Raton Museum of Art has evolved into a vital cultural resource.

Acclaimed chef returns to Galley at Hilton West Palm Beach

Chef Joel Rodriguez

Chef de Cuisine Joel Rodriguez has returned to Galley, the award-winning signature grill house and bar located inside Hilton West Palm Beach. Originally from Puerto Rico, Rodriguez debuted his culinary skills in the U.S. in 2017 at Galley. He was instrumental in creating some of the most popular dishes on Galley’s menu, receiving rave reviews and a No. 1 rating for the restaurant on TripAdvisor. Rodriguez left Galley to pursue leadership positions with PGA National Resort and the Curio Collection by Hilton, before returning to Galley in September 2024. “This is where it all started for me,” said Rodriguez.

Flagler Technologies hires systems engineer

Nick Russo

Flagler Technologies recently hired systems engineer Nick Russo. Russo specializes in enterprise storage solutions, VMware, Nutanix, cloud and disaster recovery. Prior to his current role, Russo served as a solutions architect at Dell, playing a pivotal role in designing and implementing innovative storage solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of his customers. Flagler Technologies is a Boca Raton company that helps clients tackle disruption due to digital challenges.
