Personal injury firm adds partner for new office
Lesser, Landy, Smith & Siegel, PLLC, a 98-year-old personal injury law firm has announced that Tami R. Wolfe has joined the firm as a partner. Wolfe will spearhead the opening of the firm’s new Broward County office. Lesser, Landy, Smith & Siegel, PLLC is a third-generation personal injury law firm with offices in Boca Raton, Bradenton, Broward County, Stuart and West Palm Beach.
Jupiter investment firm names chief equity strategist
SlateStone Wealth, a boutique investment advisory firm based in Jupiter that serves high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families, has announced the appointment of Erin Gibbs as chief equity strategist. Gibbs brings more than 25 years of experience managing institutional-grade portfolios for both private clients and global investment firms. Before joining SlateStone, Gibbs served as chief investment officer at Main Street Asset Management.SlateStone Wealth is an independent, privately held investment advisory firm.
Education Foundation names construction exec to board chair
The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County has announced that Lisa King, Verdex Construction’s vice president of development, has been elected the nonprofit’s newest board chair. King, a resident of Boca Raton, has worked in the South Florida construction market for over 25 years, elevating corporate images and business opportunities. In addition to her professional role, King has been an active leader with the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County since 2021. The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County was founded in 1984 and awards grants, supports innovative programs and scholarships, and provides necessary school supplies and resources from Red Apple Supplies, the foundation’s signature program.
Cardinal Newman High taps chemistry teacher to head scholars program
Cardinal Newman High School has announced the appointment of Dr. Anup Sinha as director of the M. Scott Powell Scholars Program, a prestigious academic enrichment opportunity for the school’s highest-achieving students. Sinha, a member of the Cardinal Newman faculty since 2012, holds degrees from Emory University and Wayne State University. Before teaching, he trained as a physician and worked as a professional baseball scout. At Cardinal Newman, he teaches chemistry and serves as the moderator of both the National Honor Society and the Honor Council. Located in West Palm Beach, Cardinal Newman has been providing a college preparatory Catholic education for over 65 years and is dedicated to developing students in mind, body, and spirit.
Wellington senior living names unit’s executive director
Luxury senior living community Wellington Bay recently announced the appointment of Gita Anderson as its new executive director at Lisbet at Wellington Bay Assisted Living and Memory Care. With a long-standing career dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors, Anderson brings a wealth of experience and a deep-seated passion for providing exceptional care and fostering vibrant communities. With more than 15 years of experience in senior living leadership roles, her professional background includes serving as executive director and operations specialist at Wickshire Tamarac and Atria Tamarac.
Boca Raton law firm adds specialist in commerical litigation
Weiss Serota Helfman Cole + Bierman’s Boca Raton office recently announced the addition of attorney Christian Osorno Cortes. Cortes focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, business transactions, and appellate matters. He earned his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law, where he served as executive articles editor of the FIU Law Review and was a member of the board of appellate advocates.
