Hanley Foundation, experts in addiction treatment, names new board members

Hanley Foundation, Florida’s largest provider of addiction recovery and prevention services, has announced that David Ganek and Keith Palagye have been appointed to the nonprofit’s board of directors. Ganek is the founder of CityLights and founder and former head portfolio manager of Level Global Investors. Ganek and his wife Danielle are residents of Palm Beach and began their involvement with Hanley last year. Palagye is a dedicated philanthropist and the former owner of Harold’s Coffee Lounge. Both Keith and his wife Stacy support many local initiatives, including Gratitude House, The Stacey and Keith Palagye Outreach Center at The Lord’s Place, The Mandel-Palagye Education Center at Palm Beach Day Academy, Comprehensive Alcoholism Rehabilitation Programs (CARP) and Inner-City Innovators. Hanley Foundation is the largest provider of grant-funded prevention education programs in the State of Florida.

Caron Treatment Centers adds veteran to team of specialists

Caron Treatment Centers, a nonprofit behavioral healthcare leader dedicated to treatment, research, prevention and addiction medical education, recently announced the appointment of Amber Deckard, PsyD, NPT-C, as the head of Caron’s director of neuropsychological and psychological services. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, she specializes in evaluating the impact of injuries, illnesses, polypharmacy, and psychological disorders on cognitive abilities and behavior — addressing diagnostic factors such as brain injuries, strokes, chronic pain, stress, psychological disorders, personality traits, substance abuse, dementia, intellectual capabilities (IQ), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and mental capacity.
County housing group names latest board members
The Housing Leadership Council of Palm Beach County has announced new appointments to their board of directors. The two new board members are Michele Jacobs, president and CEO, Economic Council of Palm Beach County, and Jennifer Morton, president, JMorton Planning & Landscape Architecture. The Housing Leadership Council of Palm Beach County is a coalition of community leaders who work to sustain the economic viability of the county by making housing for all Palm Beach County residents financially feasible and sustainable.


Advocacy group for girls, young women appoints executive director

Pace Center for Girls, a nationally-recognized model that provides education, counseling, training and advocacy for girls and young women, recently announced the appointment of Mindy Hanken as executive director of Pace Palm Beach. Hanken brings over 20 years of nonprofit and youth development leadership to the organization and has a proven record of community impact. She most recently served as the chief people and program officer at the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County.
Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce fills leadership roles

The Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce recently announced its newest chairman of the board as well as three new chairmen of various committees. Former Palm Beach Post publisher Timothy D. Burke was appointed chairman. Board member Corey Saban has been selected to serve as chair of the groups government affairs committee. John Brandes will now serve as chair of their ambassador committee. Taylor Smith will serve as chair of their young professionals council. Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce is one of the largest and most active business organizations in Southeast Florida.



Rosarian Academy hires alum to fill marketing, communications position

Rosarian Academy in West Palm Beach has hired Sophie Fountain as their new director of marketing and communications. Fountain attended the prestigious downtown school graduating in 2013 before attending Cardinal Newman High School, then Florida State University and finally Rollins College where she earned her MBA.
Palm Beach real estate firm names director of finance

Palm Beach-based real estate firm Township Capital has hired Jonathan Sparacio as its director of finance. Having worked at Blackstone, KKR and EOS Investors, Sparacio is thrilled to be joining founder Matthew Gorelik and working to help revolutionize real estate investments with Township’s unique approach. Township Capital is an innovative real estate firm that bridges the gap between investors and commercial real estate, offering clients and investors high-quality opportunities across various market conditions.
Local law firm elevates finance director to executive director

Jones Foster, a 100-year-old commercial and private client law firm with offices in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, and Jupiter, has announced that Donald E. Greetham has been elevated to executive director. Greetham, formerly the firm’s director of finance, is a senior executive and certified public accountant with more than 30 years of experience in leadership, financial management, corporate strategy, and business operations. He will lead all the firm’s administrative and operations teams and will work closely with the board of directors to develop and execute all operational, technology, and financial strategies.
